The Optical HDMI 2.0 Ultra High-Speed 4K@60Hz cable is used to connect two audio/video devices through a modern HDMI interface, such as an HD-DVD/BluRay player and an LCD/Plasma television. The cable transmits digital audio and video and supports digital content protection HDCP.

The cable contains active electronics that only work in one direction of the signal. The cable must always be connected with the devices turned off and only in the direction indicated on the cable. The connector marked "Source" should always be connected to the transmitting device (DVD, Blu-ray). The connector marked "Display" should always be connected to the display device (LCD, television, projector).
