SiOnyx Digital Color Night Vision Camera Aurora Sport

The SiOnyx Aurora SPORT is a digital night vision camera, which allows you to see the environment in darkness in full-color. The SiOnyx night vision cameras are the first in the market with colour-night vision. You can use the compact Aurora Sport in your hand, but also remotely control and stream images live to your smartphone or tablet. The unparalleled light output combined with colour night vision provides a stunning, unique viewing experience, especially in dark nights.

Of course, objects and animals do not change their olour at night. However, the human eye is unable to see those colours at night. With the Aurora SPORT you can see those colours. The camera is able to display images in colour during the day, at dusk and at night. This is projected onto a full-color OLED display, which you can also set in greyscale. This completely changes your viewing experience compared to classic night vision in navy green or black and white. The camera has an optical 0.5x magnification, which can be enlarged up to 3x using a digital zoom.

Photo and video's to your preference
The camera allows you to take shots according to your own preferences. For example, you can set the shutter speed for photos - from 1.5s to 1/8000s - but also the frame rate of videos up to 60fps for HD recordings. In addition, the Aurora Sport has several recording modes, such as HDR, self-timer, time-lapse, panorama and burst mode. The camera is equipped with EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) to compensate for camera shake and correct blur. Recordings can be saved directly to a microSD card (not included with the Aurora Sport model).

Streaming and remote control
All SiOnyx cameras can be connected to an Apple or Android device (phone and tablet) via Wi-fi. As soon as you have the free app - can be found in the PlayStore/AppStore as 'SiOnyx Aurora' - you can remotely control the night vision camera, stream images live and make/share recordings. By means of the remote function you can attach the unit to the railing of your boat for example, while viewing the images in real time on your tablet and thus navigate easily in complete darkness. You can remotely control the night camera up to 25 meters (without obstacles).

Application SiOnyx Aurora SPORT

The Aurora SPORT focuses specifically on the hobbyist and is very suitable for outdoor activities. You can think of survival, boating, fishing, stargazing, a forest walk and any kind of night photography or navigation. You can use the camera in any situation where a certain kind of residual light is present. For instance at night this only needs to be a minimal form of moonlight. If you always want to be able to see, even when there is no residual light, an infrared illuminator is optionally available. During daytime and twilight you can use the supporting scene modes. If you want to control the SPORT remotely you can place it on any conventional tripod via the 1/4" thread connection (see optional accessories).

How do the internal components work?

By means of patented ultra low-light sensor technology, the CMOS sensor is able to process the environment at night in colour. The Aurora's can 'see' on infrared wavelengths of more than 1100nm. With this technology SiOnyx distinguishes itself from all other digital and analogue night vision devices in the market.
