TheMV7 is a Shure dynamic microphone that allows both analog XLR connection and direct digital conversion via USB interface. The microphone's design is based on the legendary SM7, which was originally designed for radio broadcasters, but quickly made its way into recording studios. The MV7 is also designed especially for podcasts and radio, with direct monitoring provided by the built-in headphone output. Plug-and-play connectivity in conjunction with the Motiv app allows for immediate use, and the frequency response is tailored to voice capture to support flawless recording results.
Features
The over 150 mm long body with a diameter of 66.5 mm houses a capsule with cardioid directional characteristics. The frequency response of the microphone is 50 Hz to 16 kHz at a maximum SPL of 132 dB and an impedance of 314 Ohm. The built-in A/D converter allows 16/24bit recording at 44.1 or 48 kHz resolution. Connectivity consists of a standard XLR connector and Micro-B USB, and headphones can be connected via a 3.5mm TRS connector. The Shure Plus Motiv app is free to download on the manufacturer's website, and a pair of USB cables are included in addition to the microphone.
