Cool Outcome for Sentient Beings
Basically, the guy taught the primate how to use a camera, set it up for him, and the primate got a great shot that's gone viral and made money.
What's at issue is that the primate isn't human and if it makes a difference. Suppose I befriend a monkey and teach it how to use my gear while I
relax in my hammock. The monkey can get up in the trees, gets better shots than I do, and I put my monkey friend's images in my gallery... Who is
the photographer? Who owns it? Whose style are you going to try to copy? - me in my hammock or my monkey friend?
Fair decision by parties involved I think. Throws out previous decision that animals cannot own copyrights. I hope the next case is a win for the
other sentient beings on this planet.
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
