the QP5 5-piece microphone poles combine the best features of the QXS and QP4 poles. They consist of 5 parts, which ensures minimum length of the folded pole during transport. One extra layer of carbon fibre (UHM) is used in their manufacture, giving a stiffness comparable to 4 piece rods. For maximum stiffness and durability of the material, the bars are made with "pull-wind" technology. Speed is important when working "on set" - with the QP5 series rods you can change length very quickly and smoothly thanks to the Teflon coating and silicone-infused slip rings. This is also helped by the redesigned short-travel locking locks. Another new feature are the locks for rotating the individual parts.
The mechanical parts are made of aircraft aluminum, while the 3/8" threaded end cap is stainless steel to withstand thousands of microphone changes. The rod's internal surface reduces rattling and protects the rod against dirt and moisture. Lock collars and entire locks can be easily replaced
