Covering a versatile zoom range and featuring a striking design, the Tamron 17-70 mm f2.8 Di III-A VC RXD is a 25.5-105 mm equivalent lens for APS-C format FUJIFILM X-connected system cameras. The wide and short range is ideal for everyday shooting, while the fast f2.8 constant maximum aperture is suitable for use in challenging lighting conditions and allows for better depth of field control. This design is complemented by a series of special optics, including aspherical and low dispersion elements, which produce well-corrected images with high sharpness, clarity and colour accuracy. The RXD stepper motor delivers fast and near-silent autofocus, as well as full-time manual focus override and a minimum focus distance of 7.5". Suitable for use in harsh weather conditions, this lens also features a moisture-resistant construction and a fluorine-coated front element to protect against fingerprints and smudges.     Ultra-high brightness and precision   A bright constant f2.8 maximum aperture ensures consistent sharpness throughout the zoom range and improves depth of field control. Two molded glass aspherical elements and one hybrid aspherical element help to correct distortion and spherical aberrations for a high degree of sharpness and accurate imaging. Two LD (low dispersion) elements significantly reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations throughout the zoom range for improved clarity and colour accuracy. BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coating has been applied to individual elements to suppress internal reflections, flares and duplication for greater contrast and colour accuracy in high light conditions.         Focus   The RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent Stepping Drive) autofocus motor delivers impressively quiet, fast and smooth focusing for both stills and movies. This focusing system also offers a minimum focusing distance of just 7.5" and a maximum magnification of 1:4.8 for close-up work with subjects. VC image stabilisation helps reduce camera shake for more effective handheld shooting in challenging lighting conditions.
