SkyWatcher EQM-35 is a fully functional equatorial assembly, which, when equipped with a drive, can be used inastrophotography. The EQM-35 is based on the construction of the EQ3 mount, but its construction is slightly different, which provides much greater possibilities.
The EQM35 mount can be used in two configurations. The standard configuration is to use it as a classic equatorial mount with micromovements. In this case, it is possible to hang up to 10 kilograms of equipment . The head can be equipped with the GoTo and AutoGuider systems.
The second configuration is the travel configuration that we get after disassembling the declination axis. In the EQM35 assembly, the declination block is separated from the rest of the assembly in a simple way, the entire conversion takes a maximum of a few minutes. After detaching the axle, the head weighs only 3.28 kilograms and fits in airline hand luggage. The operation of the head disassembled in this way resembles the operation of the StarAdventurer head, but the driving stability and lifting capacity are even greater. Optionally, an additional dovetail or ball head can be connected to the head, which allows for direct connection of a camera with a lens.
Basic assembly features:
- Two mounts in one - a fully functional equatorial mount and a lightweight head adapted to long-distance transport
- In the equatorial version, support for up to 10 kg of equipment
- Ability to connect the guider via the ST-4, PEC port
- Simple conversion to a 3.2kg lightweight head configuration
- High-quality steel tripod and counterweights.
